Important changes to the court booking schedule from 4 October 2021
Its been great to see the Club becoming busier as more members return to play and as a consequence the booking slots, particularly in the busy weekday evenings are being fully booked. To provide members more opportunity to book a court the Committee have agreed to changes that will make more booking slots available.
Firstly, the court cleaning and air clearance time between court usage is being reduced from 20 minutes to 5 minutes. This is consistent with current England Squash COVID 19 safety guidance and practices at other squash clubs. Court booking slots will be 45 minutes, play for 40 minutes with 5 minutes for court cleaning and air clearance. Court times will remain staggered to reduce congestion in the corridor and changing rooms.
Members must only play for the 40 minutes and must continue to clean the court after use and use the court fans. The court fee remains at £6.
Secondly, the courts will be available for booking for longer during the day from 6am to 12 midnight. If members are using the Club early morning or late at night please respect our neighbours by keeping the noise down.
Peak time bookings are from 6pm weekdays and all day at the weekends.
These changes will take effect from Monday 4 October 2021.
