Blackheath Squash Club

Hi, you will have noticed that the school next door to the squash club is being demolished and is going to be replaced by a new school development. The contractors heavy vehicles are using the access gates next to the squash club because the site's main Old Dover Road entrance is not usable for these vehicles because of a lamp post which needs to be moved by the Council. Until this occurs heavy vehicles will continue to use the access gates from Lizban Street (this is a public right of way so we cannot stop this).
The access gate from Lizban Street is controlled by the school contractors and recently has been open and closed at unexpected times. This could (and has) cause problems if you park next to the club and then find the gates are closed or vice versa. Also there is a risk of damage to parked cars from the heavy vehicles and/or parked cars block access.
Therefore members using the club during the day on weekdays are advised to park in Lizban Street/surrounding roads for the rear entrance or the main car park if coming in from Charlton Road. Currently work on the site is only taking place on weekdays so weekends are OK.
