CHANGES TO THE BOOKING SYSTEM

IMPORTANT NOTICE – BOOKING SYSTEM CHANGES – GDPR

There are some changes to the booking system to ensure that we comply with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) that come into effect at the end of May 2018.

BOOKING SHEETS
All new and existing members will be prompted to provide explicit consent to show their names on the Booking Sheets and the list of “playing partners/opponents” that others can select to show their bookings. Members MUST provide this consent in order to continue with new court bookings.

Just before the GDPR becomes effective on 25th May 2018, any members who have NOT logged in and accepted to show their names on the Booking Sheets will be removed from the list of “Playing Partners/opponents” that others can select to show on the Booking Sheets.

MEMBERS DIRECTORY
All new and existing members are now being asked to update their contact details and Privacy Settings for the Members Directory.

Members will need to explicitly check the boxes to “show” their contact details in the Members Directory (regardless of existing settings). The options to “Show” their contact details are un-checked by default.

When the GDPR becomes effective on 25 May 2018, any members who have NOT logged in and updated their contact details and Privacy Settings will be shown as “ex-directory”.

EMAIL NEWSLETTERS
All new and existing members are now being prompted to subscribe to Blackheath Squash Club’s email Newsletters.

Members who don’t subscribe will be unsubscribed by default.

Members will be prompted to subscribe each time they login to the Booking System Website.

On 25 May 2018, any members who have NOT logged-in and explicitly subscribed to the Club’s email Newsletter will be automatically un-subscribed.
